Freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams has been named the Shaun Alexander Player of the Week after a game-saving performance for No. 4 Alabama against No. 2 Georgia.

With just over two minutes left, Williams recorded six receptions for 177 yards, including a remarkable 75-yard touchdown that sealed a 41-34 victory. His contributions also included two kickoff returns for 14 yards, further showcasing his versatility.

Williams is currently Alabama's top receiver with five touchdown catches, including his second 100-yard performance of the year. His ability to adapt and excel under pressure highlights his bright future in college football.

Redshirt freshman Pitts Eli Holstein named the Shaun Alexander Player of the Week.

Holstein led Pitt to a stunning 38-34 victory over West Virginia, overcoming a fourth-quarter, 10-point deficit. He threw for 301 yards, three touchdowns, and ran for 59 yards, including a vital 17-yard run on the last drive. Impressively, he became the first Pitt freshman to pass for 300 yards in three straight games and ranks nationally in seven categories, including fourth in touchdown passes and seventh in total offense. His strong efforts rank him among the nation's top quarterbacks this season.

This Weeks Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Week is LB Josiah Trotter of West Virginia



Josiah Trotter was recognized as the Shaun Alexander Award Player of the Week for his outstanding performance. The freshman linebacker from Philadelphia, PA, made a significant impact in West Virginia University's late 32-28 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks in their Big 12 Conference opener. Trotter led the Mountaineers' defense with 11 total tackles, including 6 solo efforts, showing his strong defensive skills. His efforts were instrumental in helping the team rally late to secure the win.

Freshman wide receiver Nick Marsh has been named the Shaun Alexander Award Player of the Week Michigan State’s

Against Maryland. Marsh recorded eight receptions for an impressive 194 yards, including a decisive 77-yard touchdown that tied the game with just over four minutes remaining. His yardage total ranks as the second highest ever achieved by a Spartan freshman, underscoring his significant impact on the field. Marsh’s ability to deliver under pressure, exemplified by his 56-yard reception that set up a critical drive at the Terps’ 18, reflects his immense potential and bright future within the program.

Stewart played only 37 snaps,making the best of his time on the field he recorded four tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles, these results earned him a 97.4 grade from Pro Football Focus, the top defensive grade of the weekend and the highest mark by an edge rusher since 2020.
