Throughout the season, the FWAA is announcing the Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Play of the Week at the conclusion of each week's games
Florida Citrus Sports and Pop-Tarts have teamed up to present the Pop-Tarts ‘Crazy Good’ Play of the Week during the 2024-25 college football season, with each week's play selected in conjunction with the Football Writers Association of America.
To celebrate the honor, each winning team receives a care package of Pop-Tarts toaster pastries.
The Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Play of the Week follows Pop-Tarts' entry into college football with the Pop-Tarts Bowl, organized and managed by Florida Citrus Sports, and fans can nominate their favorite plays through the Pop-Tarts social media accounts (@PopTartsBowl).
Fordham is the winner of the Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Play of the Week for Week 12 for its rather unorthodox interception return for a touchdown.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Fordham sealed a 31-3 win over Georgetown with a pick six. But it was not your everyday garden variety interception return.
Trey Bradford intercepted Jacob Holtschlag's pass at the Fordham 11-yard line and headed up the far sideline, only to injure his leg along the way. As he limped up the field he found teammate Alex Kemper trailing him and pitched the ball to him at the 37. Kemper took the ball the rest of the way to the end zone to close out the scoring and was officially credited with a 63-yard interception return for the score.
